Burberry

Burberry extended itself in various segments like manufacturing clothing, fragrance, cosmetics and fashion accessories. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. The main line of business of the brand was to create a luxurious fashion line & fashion accessories. Eventually an exclusive range of perfumes for men & women & luxurious color cosmetics were introduced. Their first perfume, Burberry for Men, appeared in 1981. History:

Burberry Group plc is a British luxury fashion house which was founded in 1856 when 21-year-old Thomas Burberry, a former draper's apprentice, opened his own store in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Burberry was the original name, but then the company soon switched to using the name Burberrys, after many customers from around the world began calling it Burberrys of London. This name is still visible on many older Burberry products. Initially a lot of focus was on the fabric wherein a lot of garments were designed for the people in the aviation. Burberry is most famous for its iconic trench coat, which was designed for the contemporary warfare and was commissioned to Burberry by the War Office. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. Burberry was granted a Royal Warrant for Clothing from the British Royal Family. In addition to their fashion line and accessories, the Burberry brand offers an exclusive line of fragrances for men and women —many in bottles adorned with the company's signature tartan & their luxurious color cosmetics.
